  1. Introduction Global warming has an effect on the earth. We decided to make the verdant sphere game to give knowledge to the player about global warming and therefore, as the novice programming, we decided to study in 3D game designing field which consist of programming language, game engine, scripting and 3D graphic tools to make the Verdant sphere game has more interesting . Studying the game engine and 3D is also interesting and important because it is a core of the system which manages and controls all graphical data, popular in nowadays and one important point is also make the game has more beautiful.

  2. Problem Statement • We know that there are many informations on website but people don’t care and don’t interesting and the youth lazy to read and make understanding with their knowledge. So for today, we choose create flash game to present and teach them to aware of the global warming. • We don’t have any knowledge about flash action script so we must learn by ourselves. 3. Difficult to do the research because there are many factors that take an effect to the earth. So we choose create the game by represent how to decrease CO2 in daily life.

  3. Game specification 1. The Verdant sphere is 2D game that allows the players to control the character as desired with freely control – jump, run, walk and pick the item. 2. The goal of verdant sphere game is reduce CO2 in daily life. 3. At the starting game, there are three categories, plenty of enemies assigned on different locations and scale of CO2 in different locations.

  4. Game function 1. Player is able to turn off the light, grow the plants, choose the car to go to the store and choose the wares. 2. With the basic movement of common verdant sphere game which is - W (Walk forward) - S (Walk backward) - A (moving to the left) - D (moving to the right) 3. Which is the basic action in the game is - Space bar (Jump) -Left Click (turn off/ grow the plants/choose a car/ and pick up the wares

  6. Attributed and expected effects Although it is difficult to connect specific weather events to global warming, an increase in global temperatures may in turn cause broader changes, including glacial , Artic shrinkage , and worldwide sea level rise. Changes in the amount and pattern of precipitation may result in flooding and drought. There may also be changes in the frequency and intensity of  extreme weather events. Other effects may include changes in agricultural yields, addition of new trade routes , reduced summer streamflows, species extinctions, and increases in the range of disease vectors.

  7. Graphs and pictures Calculations of global warming prepared in or before 2001 from a range of climate models under the SRES A2 emissions scenario, which assumes no action is taken to reduce emissions.

  8. The geographic distribution of surface warming during the 21st century calculated by the HadCM3 climate model if a business as usual scenario is assumed for economic growth and greenhouse gas emissions. In this figure, the globally averaged warming corresponds to 3.0 °C (5.4 °F).

  9. Sparse records indicate that glaciers have been retreating since the early 1800s. In the 1950s measurements began that allow the monitoring of glacial mass balance, reported to the WGMS and the NSIDC.

  10. Second, we research the knowledge about how to create a model and add script in a program by learning in some website.

  11. Requirement specification The requirement of the game is separate into three categories. Game characteristic - Single player mode. - Mission to collect the oxygen in every locations. Function - Action: Walk, run, jump.

  12. Implementation Technique The verdant sphere project is attempted to use several kind of techniques that are shown as the list below; Project management - Tools - Microsoft visio - Microsoft project - Technique - Project planning - Diagram with ER, EER, State-chart - Milestone and PERT chart

  13. Task description • Setting goals • - Strategy • - Planning • - Roles and activities identification • - Strategic implementation • - Modeling implementation • - Spiral • - Waterfall • - Risk analysis • - Cost estimation • - Diagram • - PERT by Microsoft Visio

  14. Evaluation After the verdant sphere game was finished we will evaluate our work and efficiency of it by the players who were play game, if they can play and receive all of our purpose, so our game was success. For example of the way to explore by the players, we will give the program to installed and played then we will collected the data of all players to know how is it work for players, or not? If the game doesn’t work or doesn’t make the people aware of the global warming problem or people can’t receive the knowledge about it we must improve our game from the survey results of the players.
