  4. Imagery • We can use ADJECTIVES to create IMAGERY • ADJECTIVES are WORDS that describe nouns

  6. Imagery • For example: An Apple • See: I see a green apple with golden spots with hints of red. It is shiny and waxy. • Hear: When I bite into an apple I hear a crunch. • Smell: The smell of the apple is sweet, clean, and fresh. • Taste: The taste of the apple is sweet and sometimes tart. • Feel: The feel of the apple is smooth and light.

  7. Summer Imagery • What are some ways we can describe summer using our 5 senses? • SMELL: WARM SMOKEY HOT DOGS ON THE GRILL • SEE: BRIGHT SHINEY COLOFUL FIREWORKS • TASTE: COLD SMOKEY FREEZING ICE CREAM • HEAR: SWIMMING POOL SPLASHING AND SWISHING • FEEL: COOL WATER SPRAYING FROM THE POOL

  8. FALL IMAGERY • We are practicing stations today • Each station will have a different sense • You will rotate three times so you hit each table • You will write down FALL IMAGERY on the leaves

  9. FALL IMAGERY • HEAR: WIND- COOL CRISPY WIND • TASTE: TURKEY- HOT STEAMING SAVORY TURKEY • SEE: COLORS- WARM COLORS OF ORANGE AND BROWN • FEEL: WIND- COOL WIND • SMELL: PIE- WARM CINNAMON PUMPKIN PIE
