  2. The Gospel • Depends on the truth of Genesis • Was Jesus really in the beginning? • Was all really good when God rested on the seventh day? • Was Paradise lost forever when Adam sinned?

  3. The Gospel • Depends on the truth of Genesis • Did the world receive the curse of thorns, difficulty, and death as Genesis states? • Does the gospel give us a remedy and a taste of Paradise regained?

  4. IF… • The general evolution theory is true… • The entire Bible is wrong! • The story of the flood is a myth… • Jesus wasmistaken.

  5. IF… • The story of the flood is a myth… • Jesus could not be God’s Son. • The Gospel is false and worthless.

  6. IF… • The story of the flood is a myth… • The genealogy of Jesus is invalidated • Peter was willfully ignorant when he spoke about the people forgetting the flood!

  7. If We Do Not Defend Genesis… • We cannot be set for the defense of the gospel. • “But the latter out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel.” (Philippians 1:17)

  8. If We Do Not Defend Genesis… • We cannot cast down imaginations and every high thing… • “Casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.” (2 Corinthians 10:5)

  9. If We Do Not Defend Genesis… • Our children will not be prepared to face the challenges of school and media attacks on the foundations of their faith.

If We Do Not Defend Genesis… • The church cannot be the “pillar and ground” of any other truth. • But if I am delayed, I write so that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillarand ground of the truth.” (1 Timothy 3:15)

  11. Jurors and Us • Jurors do not have to have degrees. • Yet, the accused person’s life depends on their ability to sort out the truth. • Likewise, we can listen to the degreed evolution professors, cross-examine the degreed creation scientists, and examine what they say.

  12. Jurors and Us • Jurors do not have to have degrees. • As jurors in possession of all the evidence, we can draw proper conclusions. • Eternal life is hanging in the balance! • God forbid we grow “dull of hearing” the evidence!

  13. Genesis Is Foundational! • There are good, solid reasons for believing that it is a “myth” that Genesis is a myth! • There are good, solid reasons for believing that Genesis explains our world better than the “imaginations” of atheistic evolutionists.

  14. Genesis Is Foundational! • When the gospel’s foundations are attacked, we must betrainedandready to defendit at thefoundational level!

  15. When Genesis Is Attacked… • We cannot stick our heads in the sand. • There is abundant evidence to support the accuracy of the Genesis record.
