  1. How to deal with Modvigil side effects? Modvigil is a generic Modafinil brand that is used by people who suffer from hypopnea/sleep apnea syndrome. It is also given to patients who suffer from narcolepsy or shift work disorders. Modvigil is also considered a ‘smart drug’ because it helps in improving cognitive performance, mental energy and alertness. Compared to the original Provigil, Modvigil can be bought at a cheaper rate. What is Modvigil used for? At times, this drug is used by students and individuals suffering from ADHD/ADD. They take this drug to enhance their study habits and boost their concentration. Modvigil is also said to have mood- brightening effects on people who suffer from depression and anxiety. Compared to other stimulants for the central nervous system, Modvigil is different structurally. It doesn’t have many withdrawal symptoms that are commonly experienced with other stimulants. Even Modvigil side effects are less severe. What are the side effects of Modvigil? The common side effects are nausea, headache and diarrhea. Some of the less common side effects include blurred vision, shortness of breath, anorexia, dry mouth, clumsiness, frequent urination, chest pains, uncontrollable facial movements, sore throat and unusual bruising and bleeding. The best way of dealing with Modvigil side effects is to consult your doctor or physician. It is recommended to contact your doctor immediately if you suffer from any of these side effects. Since this drug doesn’t have any serious side effects, seeking medical attention will be sufficient. A headache or nausea can be the result of your body reacting to the medicine in your system. However, you should see the doctor if the headaches persist or if you suffer from any of the above-mentioned less common side effects. Who shouldn’t take Modvigil? It is not advised to take this drug if you are a woman trying to conceive or already pregnant. This is mainly because Modvigil can lead to damage of fetal tissues and also cause toxicity in the womb. It is not recommended to this drug if breastfeeding because this can lead to contamination of the milk and also pose threats to the nursing child’s health. Even people who have cardiac disease such as, severe hypertension, coronary disease, serious arrhythmias or cardiac structural abnormalities shouldn’t take this medication. Anyone suffering from hypertension should also avoid taking this drug because it can lead to increase in blood pressure. A patient who is prone to seizures shouldn’t be given this drug because it can trigger outbreaks. This happens when Modvigil affects the central nervous system. If you consume alcohol or you are addicted to any street drug, then also this drug isn’t suitable for you. It is best to consult your doctor before taking this drug.

  2. How to take Modvigil? This drug is available in 200mg tablets that can be taken orally. At times, only 100mg is prescribed to some people because this dosage is sufficient for them to see full benefits. It is not advised to change the dosage without consulting your doctor.
