Why Just 5 months when you return to school after Xmas!
Marking reflections • Many answers aren’t succinct • Unconvincing content • Many longer answers lack a coherent structure and do not flow well • Silly mistakes are common • Many students over engineer answers • Most students would do better with a better understanding of marking guidelines
What will I need? • Syllabus knowledge • Marking criteria knowledge • Familiar with exam paper structure • Read questions carefully without significant misinterpretations • Produce answers that are easy to read and mark • Rapidly read and understand unfamiliar extract data
What will I need to do? • Make sure you produce a supported final judgement • Manage time so answers aren’t rushed or ruined if time runs out. • Develop a discussion that explains, analyses and evaluates different perspectives
