Current Trend for New Chapters Request –- In the vicinity (10 to 50 miles) of existing chapters - Easy commute for volunteers - Do not want to function as a workgroup for existing chapters - Desire Autonomy- Overseas Chapters – have been declined or pursued with Asha veteran is initiating the effort- To revive closed/dormant chapters.- New group of volunteer
Increased in- • Liability • Responsibility for Asha Wide • Number of defunctional chapters Volunteer Base Outreach Fundraising Number of Projects – Does not equate to increased impact necessarily! 100% Volunteer organization Where do we draw the line? (Does not mean stop adding chapters)
Do we need multiple chapters within 50 miles? What are the expectations from a new chapters? – Value Add & predetermined goals per chapter What the checks and balances at various stages of a new/existing chapters? What is the process to track chapters? How do we protect Asha for Education as a brand from open use – example GWU & Boxborough Lets keep in mind with the number of chapters right now – one call per weekend may get us to each chapter in 1-1/2 years.
