  2. The world's largest otter is the otter of South America. Almost two meters long does it measure. They live in the rivers and streams of the river systems of the Amazon, Orinoco, and La Plata.

  3. Only does it swim pushing with its powerful tail .

  4. The main part of their diet are fish. Supplemented by crustaceans, snakes and other animals in the environment. Only do they live 12 years in the wild. Recorded up to 21 years in captivity 

  5. Hunted extensively are giant river otters. For its skin they are hunted. More than a year's annual wage for a local resident a single giant otter pelt was worth.  Are disappeared in Uruguay and only a few left in Argentina.  Not until we stop dressing up with animal skin will they be safe.
