Review Terms of Reference • The purpose of this review is to: • determine what services currently exist; • inventory the current human resource allocation (FTE’s); • future human resource needs; • what gaps or inefficiencies exist: • identify the needs of stakeholders; • identify ways to make the current system more responsive to the needs of stakeholders no matter where they live and work in the province; and • ensure that our health libraries system enhances our ability to offer clinical services, research and education. • This review is not intended to reduce services or personnel, but to maximize efficiency and service quality • For the purpose of this review the term “library” will also be used to refer to “resource centres” within the health sector

Draft schedule for consultant • Sunday June 1 – Arrive St. John’s • Monday June 2 to Wednesday June 4 • St. John’s, meet with Working Group, tour local libraries, videoconference with Labrador • Thursday June 5 - Site visit Clarenville and Gander • Friday June 6 – Site visit Twillingate and Grand Falls • Monday June 9 - Site visit Corner Brook • Tuesday June 10 - Site visit in Stephenville • Wednesday June 11 – Site visit to St. Anthony • Friday June 13 – Departure • Final Report – July 2008

  6. Review Surveys • Both surveys are short web based surveys via Survey Monkey • Library survey – basic descriptive information • Survey of library users – your help is needed to distribute this to library users • Email with links to the survey will be distributed before the visit
