GA 3 Visibility of the Action Planned vs Actual activities • Activity 1: Production of brochures on NTS in all partners languages and in English, estimated quantity 7000 copies. • A Brochure “A Black Sea network promoting integrated natural waste water treatment systems – WASTENET” prepared (English) and available on the web-site www.waste-net.info.

Brochure “A Black Sea network promoting integrated natural waste water treatment systems – WASTENET” • Danube Delta National Institute, Romaina (DDNI) have printed 3,000 ex. of the WASTEnet brochure. • Some brochures disseminated at The 4th Black Sea Biannual Scientific Conference - BS-GES 2013, Constanta, Romania,28 -31 October 2013. • Other copies handled to Ministry of Environment, local Environmental Protection and Waters Agencies (Calarasi and Giurgiu) and Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve Authority. • American University of Armenia has printed 1500 copies of brochure on NTS in Armenian language. • Kocaeli Water and Sewerage Administration, Turkey published 1000 brochures and disseminated some of them to related institutions and individuals. • Yalova University, Turkey, translated the brochure in Turkish and sent it to KWSA. Some brochures are distributed to universities by Yalova University. The remaining brochures will be distributed in scientific conferences.

Simple Editing Capability • Clicking webmaster login and typing in password gives access to editing. • Anyone can learn because: • Very simple to use • Drag and click design • Similar to Microsoft Word typing capabilities • No more than 45 minutes to be trained using the editing software
GA 3 Visibility of the Action Planned vs Actual activities • Activity 3: Production of a documentary video on the targets of the Project to be used by local and regional TV in all Black Sea countries involved in the project. • Planned to be performed by Yalova University, Turkey, to be completed by month 13th of Project commencement.
GA 3 Visibility of the Action Planned vs Actual activities • Activity 3: Production of a documentary video • A Problem to Discuss: • Due to the limited budget, it was not appropriate to go for a tender. A new budget was prepared, and after gaining approval, this activity will be started. • The main concept is to be clarified. There are questions regarding the documentary video, such as: • duration of video • the contents of the video • subtitles • any condensed version • any scene selection, etc.
GA 3 Visibility of the Action Planned vs Actual activities • Activity 4: Dissemination activities including 10 press releases, 5 articles on NTS, 2 interviews with NTS experts, etc. • Press-Release on the Kick-off Meeting of Project Steering Committee held on August 28-29 2013 in Chisinau, Moldova, available on the web-site: www.ecotiras.org; • A Press release on the Kick Off Meeting in 2013 was issued by DEYAK, Kavala, Greece which was widely published in the local press. • An article “WASTENET European Project will help the village communities to remain ecological” was published in “Timpul” (“Time”, Rom.) newspaper on August 26, 2013 and is available on site: http://www.timpul.md/ru/articol/Evropeiskii-proect-wastenet-pomojet-seliskim-soobshestvam-ostavatisia-ecologicinimi-47592.html;
GA 3 Visibility of the Action Planned vs Actual activities • Activity 4: Dissemination activities including 10 press releases, 5 articles on NTS, 2 interviews with NTS experts, etc. • An article ‘Natural alternative” was published in the ‘Puls” newspaper on August 29, 2013 and available on the site: www.puls.md/ru/content/prirodnaya-alternativa; • An article “Dniester pollutes the Black Sea” was published in the “Panorama” newspaper on September 4, 2013 and is available for the readers via web-site: http://pan.md/news/show/Dnestr-zagryaznyaet-Chernoe-more/42259; • A lecture to the 3rd year students of the State University of Moldova on Biological Treatment Methods of waste waters, as a part of a course of lectures on Ecological Chemistry, was held in December 2013, where the WASTEnet project was mentioned and its scopes explained.
GA 3 Visibility of the Action Planned vs Actual activities Several working meetings held by DEYAK WASTENET project team (Kavala, Greece) to plan an info campaign for personnel of Municipal Enterprise and local stakeholders. During the Water Info Day (22/3/2013) DEYAK organized a workshop to promote public awareness among students. The event was held in Amigdaleon Primary School were the President, the Director and several scientists from DEΥAK presented the importance of the organization in providing clean water and treating the municipality’s wastewater. Prof. G. Sylaios presented forthcoming (at the time of event) WASTEnet project as an action promoting an alternative technology for wastewater treatment.
GA 3: Activities, deliverables, milestones for the first half of year 2014 • By the end of February 2014: • Press-Release on the 2nd Steering Committee Meeting and Study Visit held on January 9-12, 2014 in Tulcea, Romania; • In the Internet journal http://www.mastsavlebeli.ge/ (“The Teacher”) a popular scientific article about water will be published at the end of January, where, among other information about water, brief information will be given about Waste Net project and constructed wetlands (Ilia State University, Georgia); • Procurement public announcement submitted for approval by DEYAK, Kavala, Greece, its completion expected in January 2014, which will allow production and distribution of envisaged info material (brochures, educational material and studies).

Activities, deliverables, milestones for the first half of year 2014 • By the end of June 2014: • In May a popular lecture for school students and Ilia State University (Georgia) students about water and natural cleaning system with constructed wetlands will be done. • At the end of September the new lecture course for Ilia State University students will be ready including ten video lectures – “The Water” (about water generally and about waste water and natural treatment systems).
Activities, deliverables, milestones for the first half of year 2014 • By the end of June 2014: • Info Day will be organized in the first quarter of 2014, in Palia Kavala, a rural community of Municipality of Kavala - a pilot site for NTS installation.That event will be covered with press releases in the newspapers of the area of the Municipality of Kavala. • The Hellenic Union of Municipal Enterprises for Water Supply and Sewage and Water Utilities of 3 other Municipalities of District of Kavala (Paggaio, Nestos and Thassos) will be informed on this event and will receive information related to the project and NTS.
Activities, deliverables, milestones for the first half of year 2014 • By the end of June 2014: After each meeting and event in 2014, a press release will be prepared by DEYAK and widely published in local press; The webpage of DEYAK (http://www.deyakav.gr) will host the information material (brochures) in electronic versions.
GA 3: Activities, deliverables, milestones for the first half of year 2014 • By the end of June 2014: • Kocaeli Water and Sewerage Administration, Turkey plans to: provide information for the web-site, organize a workshop, press conference, a seminar, prepare a documentary video, publish a booklet and leaflet on NTS. • Other partners: Articles in local and national newspapers, interviews with NTS experts, mass-media, lectures, booklets, other dissemination materials.
