  3. Personal Safety • Safety glasses need to be worn • Loose jewelry, necklaces and bracelets need to be removed • Long hair needs to be tied back or covered with a cap • Tie back loose clothing strings • No clothing on fore arms • No talking- work alone

  5. Sanding Disc • We do not use this part of the machine. The sandpaper and table have been removed.

  6. tips • Sand only for 1-2 seconds at a time. • Use 2 hands to securely hold your piece of wood • Wood must always be held on the table or on the belt top. • Never ‘free-hand’ sand, the belt can rip and fly off. • Be aware of the ‘Danger Area” • Always turn on vacuum

  7. Notice fingers are away from ‘danger area’

  8. Before you start- …answer these questions • Is this piece too small to hold? Smaller than your index finger? • Am I dressed safely, and wearing safety glasses?
