IST4Balt summary • IST4Balt is a multi-partner action that intends to promote the IST innovation activities in Baltic States entering the EU • IST4Balt is Coordination action (2.3.6), focused at IST activity areas: • 2.3.2.6 Applications and services for the mobile user and worker • 2.3.2.3 Open development platforms for software and services • 2.3.2.7 Cross-media content for leisure and entertainment • 2.3.2.9 Improving Risk management • 2.3.2.10 e-Inclusion • IST4Balt promotes the IST Priority in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia by dissemination and awareness actions: • - IDCs, Web-sites, News Journals • - Conferences and workshops • - Training • - Market and technology studies and demonstrations • The project will unite the leading Baltic telematic organizations and will result in creation of Trans-Baltic IST association INFOBALT-IST4Balt 2005 Conference
IST4Balt objectives • Promote FP6 and IST to Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia • Select and demonstrate in the Baltic countries IST developed services and tools • Develop the system of three goal oriented Information Dissemination Centers (IDCs) • Develop the IST4Balt on the Web system • Publish three issues of IST4Balt News Journal • Provide coordination, support and co-organize Baltic ICT events: • - three INFOBALT-IST4Balt conferences and workshops, Vilnius, • October 2005, 2006, 2007 • - three Baltic IT&T-IST4Balt conferences and workshops, Riga, • April 2005, 2006, 2007 • - B.I.-Info conference “Logistics and information technologies in • international trade” and IST training day, Tallinn, December 2005 • Provide training measures to promote FP6, FP7 and IST • Create Trans-Balt IST Association uniting the leading Baltic ICT organizations INFOBALT-IST4Balt 2005 Conference
