Key Findings • 2%of household members were injured or killed in an accident in the year before the survey. Road accidents were the most common type. • 2% of household members are physically impaired -- most commonly caused by illness or birth. • 11% of household members had some degree of illness or injury in the 30 days before the survey. • The majority of ill or injured people sought at least one treatment, most commonly from the private sector. • The average cost for transport and health care for all needed treatments was US $32.37. • Most people paid for their health care costs through wages/pocket money or savings.
