To be fully prepared complete the tasks below and make sure you understand the keywords. • Task 1: Draw an accurate portrait and label with the Rules of Proportion. Task 2: Practice each of these drawing techniques: • Eyes are halfway down the face (Top of head and Chin) • Tip of the noes in halfway in-between the eyes and the chin. • Ears are in line with the eyes and the tip of the nose. • The mouth is halfway between the tip of the nose and chin. • Task 3: Ensure you understand the following terms and how they are used in art: • Accurate • Distorted • Tone • Features • Shading • Texture • Detail • Bring pencils, sharpener rubber and any other equipment you need.
