7. Operating Principle The machine operates as a convective drying system. The Maize is dried and cleaned by providing a continuous flow of hot air with a certain temperature, a specific velocity, and a retention time by passing it over a thin air permeable belt through hot air distribution slits. The temperature, feeder and retention time can be controlled using an electrical control panel board. The operation is continuous and the drying is done efficiently by passing the air through the bed thickness.
