Transients inautomotive power systems • Test pulse #2This test pulse is a simulation of transients due to sdden interruption of current in an inductor connected in series with a divice under test.It simulates transients wich may for example occur due to the following: after the ignition is switched off, dc motors, wich are connected to the same swith as the ignition, may continue rotating due to their inertia, thus acting as generators.
