  1. Olympic Values • Class E63 At Terry Fox Elementary worked in groups to brainstorm how the Olympic values can be applied to a classroom setting. This is what they came up with.

  2. Olympics By: Michael, Nicholas, & Felisia

  3. Excellence Excellence is something everyone should strive or. It includes perfection, doing the best you can, achieving your goal, working hard and most importantly, trying your best.

  4. FUN By: Felicia.C. Victoria.G. Daniela.P.

  5. Fun can happen anywhere and anytime just by making a moment or event exciting. There are many places you can enjoy a fun time for example; at school, at parks, at home with your family, in public and with friends! We can have fun at school by making games in any subject like math by doing multiplication or division games! ‘’ F is for friends that do stuff together!’’ ‘’ U is for you and me’’ ‘’ N is for anything and everwhere at all! ’’ FUN

  6. Fairness By: Alissa, Gianluca, Alexander, Fabrizio

  7. Fairness Fairness is very important in life. That is whymy team and I will talk to you about fairness. Fairness is not cheating in a game, so everyone can have fun. Fairness is not leaving somebody out of a game. Fairness is everybody getting what they need. Fairness is respecting one another so you get respect back. Fairness is everybody having fun. Fairness is everybody being successful in life. There are many more ways to be fair in life, but my group and I chose to talk to you about six things only.

  8. Respect By: Ariane, Gabriella, Anna, and Maria

  9. The value of respect is to forgive and forget. Respect is to be polite to others, not to lie to close friends, to listen to the rules, to listen when someone talks, and finally, to say nice things to others. One way to be polite to others is to say ‘Please’ and ‘Thank you’ and not use bad language. You should listen to the rules you have to act nicely, but it depends on the rule. If the rule is to not do snowball fights well you just don’t do some even if you hate the person. You have to respect the other. A way to listen when someone talks is to wait your turn, be patient and listen. The last way we are going to mention is to say nice things to others and not saying mean things. You have to find better words and calm yourself . Respect is all of those things and more, but if someone doesn’t do not do those things, but then feels sorry, should forgive that person.

  10. HUMAN DEVELOPMENT / By: Daniel, Brandon and James

  11. INFO As you grow older you show many changes in your life and body. You also learn a lot more about your interests. In school you start thinking about what you want to be in the future. You also start liking and disliking different things. Once you finally make your decision about what you want to be in life, you get lots of responsibilities. Having lots of responsibilities means you have to become mature in order to do them. As you can see, all of these aspects are important to become an adult.

  12. Leadership By By: Debora,Madison and Makayla

  13. Leadership is when you are always finding the positives in the situation and are trying to help and lead people. A leader is someone that encourages their team and leads people to success. A situation to demonstrate what leadership truly is if you lose a game and you are frustrated. The leader will come and cheer you up, look at the positives and help you improve. Another idea of leadership is if there is a project and the students do not want to work with each other. The leader will incorporate all their ideas and encourage them to try their best. A leader does not lose their temper or scream at their team, but encourages them and tells them what to do. That is a true leader! 14. PEACE By: Gabriele Luca Jason

  15. What is Peace? Peace: No war and fights for a period of time. Peace is a value of the Olympics because in the Olympics everyone competes for a medal at their best and as friends, but in the end, everyone competes for their country and everyone is friends! Peace is a big part of the Olympics because if you lose a game, you have to be peaceful and congratulate the winning team. At school it is important to build a peaceful environment to help concentrate during tests and assignments. Outside on the field of play, we need peace because without peace, nobody gets along and there are many fights and arguments.
