Research Methods 1 KNOWLEDGE • The objective of the course is to provide the students with knowledge – practical, theoretical and methodological – about research skills at an introductory level.
Research Methods 1 SKILLS • The course will provide students with the basic skills to carry out project work, including: skills in problem formulation, methods, data collection and analysis of secondary data, working with theories and writing reports. Apart from the direct evaluation through the course examination, the skills acquired in Research Methods I will be applied directly for the examination of the course Introduction to the Leisure Industries, where the students will conduct a group project and write a report based on the proficiency obtained in Research Methods I.
Research Methods 1 COMPETENCES • Through the course the students will acquire study and academic competences in terms of understanding of how to approach a project in order to provide valid and reliable knowledge throughout their course of studies and henceforward in their working life, whenever project writing skills are required.
