  1. Bipolar Disorder Bipolar disorder is known for causing often mood swings and unreliable, uncontrollable emotions. People with this condition will go from being in a good mood to a depressing, irritable mood.

  2. Men and women are equally affected by Bipolar Disorder. • Bipolar disorder usually starts between the ages of 15 and 25. • Bipolar disorder is characterized by manic and depressive episodes. Manic episodes are phases of extreme joy and happiness. Depressive episodes are phases where the person feels tired and sluggish.

  3. 66% of children that have parents with Bipolar disorder will get it as well. • Having bipolar disorder decreases the average life span by 9.2 years. • 70% of people with Bipolar disorder will be misdiagnosed once.

  4. Signs of bipolar depression are irritability, fatigue or loss of energy, sleeping issues, feelings of worthlessness, and sluggishness. • There is no permanent cure for bipolar disorder but there are several medicines that can be issued by a psychiatrist.
