APPLICATION PROCESS • As a first step, submit your resume and official transcript by Friday, December 12 to: • Dr. Christine Valle • Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering • Georgia Institute of Technology • Atlanta, GA 30332-0405 • You will receive updates via email. • Then go to the Office of International Education and fill out the appropriate study-abroad forms. • Also go to the Work-Abroad Office and fill out the • appropriate application forms. • If you’re in the International Plan, make sure you get all necessary signatures (including Dr. Valle’s). • AREVA will contact you directly for interviews by March 2009. • HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS • Summer semester at GT-L to take intensive French • language classes (optional), • Fall semester at GT-L to take regular ME and NRE classes (and French language classes), • Spring (and possibly summer) semester(s) working at AREVA to learn more about the nuclear industry in • France and the U.S. AREVA is a French industrial conglomerate known for nuclear power and the leader in the U.S. market for nuclear products and services. ARE YOU INTERESTED IN STUDYING AND WORKING IN FRANCE? ARE YOU INTERESTED IN THE NUCLEAR INDUSTRY? • REQUIREMENTS • You must be an ME or NRE student and: • If an undergraduate, you’re at least a junior, • If a BS/MS student, you are pursuing the non-thesis option, • If a graduate, you are pursuing a non-thesis MS, • You have a good command of French. • The minimum GPA requirement for study-abroad programs is determined by the • GT Office of International Education.
