Settling in Brussels You are not a national from one of the member states of the European Union • Period of stay < 3 months Report as soon as possible to local Town Hall. Take passport and/or VISA Type C (if required) and sign and collect the form ‘aankomstverklaring/ declaration d’arrivée’. • Period of stay > 3 months Submit following documents within 4 months at the local Town Hall: 1) a valid international passport (minimum 1 year) and your VISA type D 2) the enrollment certificate of VUB or Erasmus (proof that you officially enrolled as a student) 3) proof of scholarship or grant or financial guarantee form 4) housing contract (to prove where you live) 5) 5 identity photos 6) a birth certificate, certificate of marital status and certificate of good conduct covering the last five years (max. 3 months old)
