41. VeriFace 3.5 vs. Asus smart logon Comparison description • The maximum recognition distances for Smartlogon is 120cm, and VeriFace is 140cm. That means if people’s face is far away from the camera more than 120cm, Smartlogon can’t work but VeriFace still works. • Normal distance recognition result by lighting off. Samrtlogon failed, VeriFace pass. The actual result tells us Smartlogon has very bad performance on lighting. It even couldn’t detect people’s face. • No accurate angle value of Smartlogon’s recognition could be known, but base on actual testing, its range is small than VeriFace. Smartlogon asks people frontal face the camera. • VeriFace’s realtime monitor base on keyboard and mouse response detecting, Smartlogon base on face detecting as its described. But base on actual testing result, it should base on motion-detecting-like scheme or the combination of face and motion detecting. Their solution should be better than ours if there is no camera bluescreen issue. • ASUS developed a software named Virtual Camera which can simulate multi-cameras, which ensures the Smartlogon can work if the camera is in used currently. It would be better if there is no camera bluescreen issue.
