Current Joint Standards Development • ATIS and TIA jointly developed the J-STD-025 series. • J-STD-025-B (Packet Mode) approved for trial use with unresolved “No” vote from Law Enforcement (LE). Now being balloted for publication as ANS. • cdma2000 packet data included • ATIS T1.678 VoP Wireline by reference • ATIS 3GPP TS 33.108 GPRS/UMTS (now T1.724) by reference • Includes both packet data and VoP support • J-STD-025-C Proposed: Supports maintenance, amendments and revisions to J-STD-025-B. ATIS’ participation is being reviewed.
ATIS/T1 Standards • T1.678 LAES for VoP in a Wireline Environment • Version 1 Supports SIP and H.323 VoP • T1.724 UMTS Handover Interface • Supports GPRS and UMTS for Packet Data and VoIP • Proposals in Ballot for Additional Lawful Intercept (LI) work in ATIS • T1.678 Revised (support of additional VoP methods) • T1.xxx Additional LAES Capabilities • Capabilities requested by the LE and viewed as not necessary for CALEA compliance • T1.xxx LAES for Public IP Network Access Services • LI for Packet Data Access Services in a wireline environment
