  4. What? Book • An italian version of the book is available!! • However, the chapter on Human Resources Management (HRM) has not been translated

Group Work • Choose a company in order to analyze and evaluateinternationalstrategicchoices • Large firms • Fast growingfirms • Wellknownfirms • Youcan’tchoose: Campari, Coca Cola, Yoox, Adidas, Starbucks, Tod’s, Pirelli, Tesla, Pandora, H&M, Aeropostale, Mc Donald’s, Zara, Blackberry(selected last year)

  14. Group Work • Define a group of 6-7 students (mix backgrounds!) • Teams’ composition and company of analysis are to be notified to in class to the professor for approval (beforeOctober 7) • The title of the groupprojectisdefined on a FIFO (FCFS) policy

  15. Group Work • The output should be structured in 7 sections • A brief overview of the company • Results • Competitive Situation • Strategic Choices • OrganizationalChoices • Otherspecificissues (ethics/culture/entry strategies etc.) IF theyinfluencedresults • Conclusions

  16. Group Work • Look for information on internet and in the library (electronic first! Data Bases of articlesavailable!) • The expected output is a .ppt file (20-30 slides) to be presented in 20 minutes; you are free to choose the groupmembersthatwillpresent the work • You are invited to use the space under the slides Files and papers are expected to be delivered on November 25in order to be consideredattendees

  17. Group Work • Deliver the document in twoforms: printed + .ppt file • Only on November 25 youwilldiscoverwhichgroupwillpresent on the sameday or later. The date of presentationdoesnotinfluence the evaluation (youalldeliver the document on the sameday)
