UN Development Assistance Plan UNDAP:single business plan for the UN in Tanzania Why: For better development results in Tanzania UNDAP: • UN’s planned outcomes and key actions - to be implemented through agencies’ annual work plans • Jointly developed by UN, GoT and partners • Integrates UNDAF requirements and new UNDAF Action Plan guidelines • Reduces duplication in planning requirements for UN agencies, GoT and partners • Collective and coherent strategy aligned to national priorities • Updated annually to ensure continued relevance.
A Common Country Programme To further simplify programming and realise the UNDAP, the Government of Tanzania proposes: A Common Country Programme Document (common CPD), derived from the UNDAP • to be approved by the ExCom Boards in lieu of agency specific CPDs (Specialized Agencies do not require approval of Country Programmes by Governing Bodies. Specialized Agencies will sign the UNDAP and derive from it their respective Country Strategies).
Proposed Outline: Common CPD* Cover Page Common Contents: • Introduction • Situation Analysis • Past cooperation and lessons learned • Proposed programme of cooperation • Programme Results Matrix • Programme Management, Monitoring & Evaluation Agency specific annex: • A brief write-up on the proposed programme of cooperation (drafted by respective agency) • Agency results matrix (derived from UNDAP programme results matrix) *Outline based on UNDG Common Framework for the Country Programme Outline and Country Programme Document.
