How Can We Use the Internet As a Learning Tool? • Build a class web site that is to be used in conjunction with the regular classroom curriculum. • Design activities for students that incorporate the use of the Internet. • Have the students use the Internet on a regular basis in the classroom.

  4. Digital Literacy Digital Literacy – The ability to understand, evaluate, and integrate information in multiple formats that the computer can deliver.

  5. How Is Digital Literacy Different From the Traditional Concept of Literacy? • Information found on the Internet is different in many ways. It is not only text, it has many multimedia components such as video,audio, and pictures. Next

  6. Other Differences • Being digitally literate is interactive and multidimensional. • - Files can be saved, printed, e-mailed, shared, and talked about in newsgroups.
