  3. Mission statement “Marin County School Volunteers enriches student learning by recruiting, training and pairing volunteer tutors with students in Marin public schools.” We strive to provide meaningful volunteer opportunities for adults and students of Marin

  4. Who we Are We are a nonprofit 501 (C) 3 organization ‘Friends of Marin County School Volunteers’. We are funded by grants, community foundations and private donors.

  5. MCSV History 1997 2015 250+ Adult Volunteers 60+ Student Volunteers Serving 5,000+ students /year 45+ Schools in Marin • 40 Adult Volunteers • 5 Schools • Served 300 students Our focus continues to be on schools and students with the greatest need And, we continue to grow….

TARGET/priority schools Targeted Other Priorities Students of ‘targeted’ population in a non priority school or district Teacher/School Requests Volunteer preference (neighborhood school) Unique need or program • English Language Learners • Students living in poverty • Schools that do not have significant parent volunteer support

  9. Completed Application • Individual Interview (today) • Current TB Clearance • Fingerprints (Livescan) • Commitment to volunteer at least one hour (or more) a week for academic year • Training Requirements Screening and training
