GOOD PRACTICES • All members in the familly take waste to the street containers (60%) • More than half of the families select garbage at home (59%) • Almost half of the families take unwanted clothes to Town Collecting Points (49%) • Three quarters of the families take household appliance and electronic equipment to collecting points at shops (75%) • More than a half of the families take unwanted or out of date medicines to chemist’s (52%) • About half of the families buy stationery that come from recycling (53%)
BAD PRACTICES • Few families have three or more dustbins for selecting rubbish (15%) • About 40% families do not select garbage at home • Almost half of the families do not use recyclable materials (43%) • The majority of the families (80%) use disposable materials (especially plastic bags) • There is not enough selective waste containers (60%) • Collecting segregated waste by dustcarts is too rare (once a month) (70%)
ACTION PLAN AT HOMEIMPROVEMENT MEASURES • SENSITIZING CAMPAIGN - talk at home about the importance of selective collecting waste - make leaflets directed to whole families • IMPROVEMENT MEASURES - choose knowingly materials, products that come from recycling ( take note of special signs on the products) - try to use several waste containers, each for different kind of rubbish
