St. Joseph's Wellness and Safety Center offers engaging bike and pedestrian educational programs to Hillsborough County middle school students. Program #1 provides a pre-driver’s ed bike safety clinic tool kit with equipment and bikes, including training for PE teachers and clinic scheduling. Program #2 offers a one-day bike safety presentation with interactive elements and fun activities to teach students essential road safety skills. Middle School Programs • Program #1: Pre Driver’s Ed Bike Safety Clinic Tool Kit- Equipment and bikes needed to conduct clinic lessons for 3-4 days
Middle School Clinic Tool Kit • All materials will be stored in a trailer that is housed at the HCPS warehouse. • St. Joseph’s will coordinate the delivery of the trailer from the warehouse to the middle schools. • PE Teachers will be trained on Tool Kit usage in the fall by SRTS grant manager. • St. Joseph’s will coordinate the scheduling of all schools who request the Clinic Tool Kit. • St. Joseph’s will send one staff member to assist the PE teacher during the implementation.

This presentation is held during the PE period, “assembly” style in the gym.
