  1. What is ROM? • ROM means Read Only Memory. ROM is the OS that runs on your android devices. • In your android phone or tablet ROM is stored in the hardware portion. • In android the ROM comes in two form. They are • Stock ROM • Custom ROM

  2. What is Stock ROM? • This stock ROM is one that comes by default on your android devices. • Stock ROM for android smartphone is developed by manufacturer for their device to be unique with looks and features. • Most of the smart phones or out of the box smartphones are shipped with Stock ROM.

  3. Advantages of Stock ROM 3 main advantages in Stock ROM. They are • Warranty: Installing Stock ROM for your device does not void warranty. But the custom ROMs will void immediately. • Premium Features: It comes with more features which is not available in custom ROM. • Pre-installed apps: There are many pre-installed apps like music player, calendar, weather and etc.
