ROD Grant (Regular Operating District)andDebt Service • Provides the opportunity to enhance existing facilities • Allows the district to maintain its commitment to 21st century learning experiences through sound instructional strategies and cutting edge technologies
ROD Grant (Regular Operating District) • Approved upgrade projects include: • Elementary/Middle School Security Upgrades • Provide electronic locking tied back into card reader device • Provide intercom for communication from entrance to Main Office • Provide multiple cameras for monitoring entrance points and throughout other building locations with connectivity to Main Office monitoring locations
ROD Grant (Regular Operating District) • Elementary/Middle School Security Upgrades (Cont’d) • Provide security alarm monitoring and reporting of alarm and trouble conditions • Automated access control at designated areas • Direct data interface to provide automatic camera scene display and recording
ROD Grant (Regular Operating District) • Elementary/Middle School • Replace roof • Remove and dispose of existing roof; remove existing roof drain, gravel stops/flashing, trim and associated flashing material • Provide new roofing assembly, built-up asphalt roofing system (approximate area 85,825 square feet) • Remove and replace existing caulking and backer rod around all exterior doors and windows and masonry control joints

ROD Grant (Regular Operating District) • Approved renovation projects include: • High School Partial Roof Replacement • Remove and dispose of existing roof (approximately 60,500 square feet) which includes all areas except Gymnasium, Auditorium and Weight Room • New drainage systems, flashings and associated trim materials
Debt Service Project • Approved addition projects include: • Classroom Addition to the Administration Building • Addition of three (3) classrooms to satisfy the needs of the Preschool population and program (1,035 gross square feet per classroom including a bathroom in each classroom) • Provide Occupational and Physical Therapists instructional space (600 gross square feet)
Debt Service Project • Classroom Addition to the Administration Building (Cont’d) • Provide teacher work room (395 gross square feet) to meet with parents and/or students on a one-on-one basis
Debt Service Project • Additional Classrooms to the High School • Three (3) classrooms will function as computer labs to accommodate regular curriculum and future testing requirements • Labs will provide stations with audio/video capability • Provide setting for computer instruction and computer assisted instruction in business and other technologies
Debt Service Project • Approved improvement projects include: • High School Site Improvements • Remove and install new sidewalks in area of the Weight Room and Trainer’s Room sidewalk area adjacent to Gymnasium and Auditorium • Mill and overlay High School parking lot, line, stripe • Main entrance – remove planter and concrete
Debt Service Project • High School Site Improvements (Cont’d) • Entrance adjacent between main entrance and Media Center – remove and replace concrete from curb to door • Replace flag pole sidewalk and connecting walk • South entrance stairs – replace stairs, landing and rails • Replace damaged handrails leading to soccer/baseball fields out of Woodshop and Health classrooms
Debt Service Project • Elementary/Middle School Site Improvements • Rebuild existing site stairs and rail system • Remove and replace sidewalls • New connecting stair from the school to the parking lot
Debt Service Project • Approved upgrade projects include: • Elementary/Middle School Technology Infrastructure Upgrades • Furnish and install 30 wireless hubs (mounted above ceiling) • Provide cabling from wireless hub to district network • Provide new fiber optic connections to district network • Provide new switch to accommodate wireless infrastructure
Debt Service Project • Primary School Technology Infrastructure Upgrade • Furnish and install 20 wireless hubs (mounted above ceiling) • Provide cabling from wireless hub to district network • Provide new fiber optic connections to district network • Provide new switch to accommodate wireless infrastructure
Debt Service Project • Approved improvement projects include: • Primary School Site Improvements • Parking lot to be milled, compacted and repaved (approximately 41,900 square feet) • New parking lines and striping
ROD Grant (Regular Operating District) and Debt Service • Funding from the grant and debt service will ensure that the District does not have to bear 100% of the project costs: • Department of Education will fund approximately 52% of the costs of the projects • Referendum amount will be approximately 48% of the costs of the projects
Debt Service Tax Impact • Funding estimates an interest rate at 4.5%. fifteen (15) years payout • Total assessed value of homes at $412,183,625 • Referendum proposes approximately $7,347,917 of debt • No debt service tax impact as a result of this new amount • Decrease in the debt service tax in subsequent years
Successful Referendum Projects • December, 2010 – High School Improvements • September, 2005 – New Primary School opened • November, 1997 – New Elementary/Middle School opened
