OeAD-GmbH – ICM • OeAD-GmbH – Austrian Agency for International Mobility and Cooperation in Education, Science and Research • ICM – Centre for International Cooperation & Mobility • International cooperation and mobility programs outside the Lifelong Learning programs (Erasmus etc.) • Administration of the grant and scholarship programs of the Federal Ministry of Science and Research (BMWF) (incoming & outgoing) • Accompany international exchange and research cooperation ICM

  3. „Aktionen“ • After the year 1989 the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science and Research initiated three bilateral grant programs: • Austria – Czech Republic • Austria – Hungary • Austria – Slovakia • Co-Funding by the national ministries • In Austria: Funding by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science and Research • Administration: 3 separate head offices in the partner countries • OeAD-GmbH is the partner of the “Aktionen” in Austria • Main Target Group: Young researchers of the 4 countries

  4. „Aktionen“ – Project support • Research Cooperation • Stays in the host country, courses and conferences. • Travel expenses • Small scholarship programs • Excursions • Publications • Research Funds • For additional options please go to the websites of the specific “Aktion”

  5. „Aktionen“ – Project support • Joint application by researchers from a university in Austria and in one of the partner countries • Project applications must be submitted at the head office of the respective “Aktion” • All academic disciplines are supported • Duration of the projects is usually limited to one year • Up to four closing dates per year for project application • Application forms to be downloaded from the website of the respective “Aktion”

Scholarships • Target group: students, scholars, researchers and professors of universities and eligible institutions in the partner countries and in Austria • Closing date of application: up to four times a year, depending on the program and the “Aktion” • Duration of stay: from 3 days up to 9 months depending on the program and the “Aktion” • Language courses • more information: www.grants.at
