Our goal is that all employees can work in a safe, happy & productive environment, and that they are involved in the process. Your input and cooperation is important and appreciated
Our aim is that every process is safe and we check/audit each system, but we need you to report to us if you feel that something is not safe, so that we can fix it. Please advise your supervisor immediately if something is not safe
Each department has a designated OHS representative. They will help you in the workplace with any concerns to help develop a solution
Our OHS plan consists of a policy, rules, safe work procedures, safety signs, emergency and evacuation procedures. These are all developed for your own safety
We never expect any employee to put their health in harms way and that they would cease work and alert their supervisor immediately
Safety equipment is provided for each mechanical system so please use this equipment every time. Please report to your supervisor if this equipment is not available or faulty
Work procedures are provided for every mechanical system so please read and obey these procedures at all times
Safety and emergency signs have been placed throughout your workplace, so please ensure you take note and recognize all of these important instructions
First Aid trained employees and facilities are available for all employees, so please familiarize yourself with these locations and people and please use them if you sustain an injury
Definition: Sexual harassment is any inappropriate language or physical actions that cause offence to a colleague, workmate or anyone that you share your work space with
Respect. All employees should be free and able to work in a stress free environment without the threat of any sexual harassment from their colleagues. Employees should treat their workmates as they would expect to be treated themselves or as they would expect their own family member to be treated
The effect on others: How would you feel if you were unable to work freely and enjoy your place in your work due to harassment from colleagues?
Please set an example and be a team player who is thoughtful and considerate of your colleagues
Everyone has the right to work stress free of sexual harassment. If you are not doing the right thing you will put your employment at risk.
Victim: If you are a victim of sexual harassment please mention to the inappropriate person that their actions are causing offence and to please stop.
If the behavior does not improve please advise your manager or supervisor immediately, so that the situation can be addressed and corrected.
If after speaking to your supervisor the situation still does not improve please speak to your OHS representative or Human Resources Manager.
