Promoting Student Success in Math through Best Practices Workshop
Survey “I had to remind myself of best practices for teaching students hard of hearing or deaf. I have taught so long that I teach automatically and I have to remember to change some of my teaching techniques.” “I was more relaxed and did not hurry.” “I've built more of a connection with my deaf students since my communication efforts have helped us get to know one another better.” “I realized some things that I was unaware of and was able to be a more effective teacher after being made aware.” “It had never occurred to me to do this. By attending your workshop, it gave me practical ideas, that were extremely easy for me to implement into my teaching and courses. We are thinking of implementing ethical questions into an earlier biotechnology class which would serve as documentation as well as great discussion points in class.”
