Definition of Filtration Efficiency Filter specs: definition • For BOSCH FIE filtration efficiency is defined according to the pre-standard ISO/TR 13353:1994. Required filtration efficiency depends on application, expected fuel contamination and required life time (see following slides). For specific values see corresponding TCI • In the meantime the standard ISO/TS 13353:2002 has become valid. Main difference to the pre-standard is the calibration procedure • (ISO 11 171 instead ISO 4402). This requires an adaptation of the present values. The correlation is presently under preparation. • The International Standard Organization is working on a new multi-pass method (ISO/DIS 19438) which should substitute ISO/TS 13353 in a few years RBCP/SNS-Va
