RESEARCH • What is an intranet? • private, secure space on the web where your group can easily access and share documents, calendars, and event information. • password-protected, meaning you have control over who has access to your site. • includes valuable applications, like group calendars, group documents and group discussions, designed to help your group communicate and collaborate online. • allows simple access to the same information no matter where they are. • (Intranets.com is excellent intranet space & it is FREE)

Incentives Establish ParticipationIncentive • BCCC added online participation to our Adjunct Professional Development Plan • Two points per semester can be earned for online participation, out of 15 needed for the year. • What would be an incentive for your faculty? • Opportunity for input on department matters such as textbook selection discussion • Collegiality
