Appropriate Below are examples of dresses that are suitable for Formal and Semi-formal dances at Neuse Charter School. • Nothing lower than a Sweetheart Neckline • Dresses should not be more than 3 inches above the knee • Dresses should not be overly revealing (Exposing thighs, hips, or see through) • Back of Dresses should not be lower than navel (Belly Button) • Strapless and Halter dresses are okay • Splits not higher than 3 inches above the knee

Inappropriate The following dresses are not appropriate because: • Dresses are more than 3 inches above the knee • Nude or sheer material • Back of Dresses cut lower than navel (Belly Button) • Sides cut out of dress • Excessive Midriff showing • Dresses lower than a Sweetheart Neckline or Plunging Neckline • Splits are more than 3 inches above the knee
