  4. Period of fasting Prior to Operation - RIE

Fasting Improvement • A MUST! • MDT approach and agreement with fasting guidelines • Education (for everyone!) • Fast 1st pt on morning theatre list from 6am • Trauma Coordinators to “man mark” • Use of CHO drinks • No budget for CHO drinks (same with ERAS elective pt protocol) so SG requested to review with possible improvement re: associated costs via NP
