Typical AAS Degree at HCC • AAS Degree Requirements – 60+ Credit Hours General Education Requirements COMM 101 Intro to Oral Communication 3 ENGL 101 Composition I 3 MATH or TMAT Elective 4 to 8 Social Science or Humanities Elective 3 Physical Science Elective* 4 17 to 21 Credit Hours Technical Core Requirements Set of core classes taken by all students 16 to 36 hours Electives or Option Areas 3 to 12 hours Electives based on interests or career focus
