  2. Why Accounting? Students will be provided with a thorough background in the basic accounting procedures used to operate a business! The accounting procedures presented will also serve as a sound background for employment in office jobs and preparation for business and accounting courses in college.

  3. You will learn… How to manage your money How to write a check How to use excel spreadsheets How to fill out tax forms How to run a business **All things you will need to know if you are a business major in college!**

  4. How it will help you in the future • If you are looking at business as a college degree, many colleges require accounting classes • You can always find a job as a accountant. • 226,000 new jobs are expected over the next decade in Accounting! • The pay is fantastic! • Average starting salary is $50,500 • By taking accounting you can join FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) which looks very good on college applications. 
