Facts The grasslands are also known to be the savannahs, prairies, steppes, plains, and pampas. Located in the states that are listed: South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, and Oklahoma. Resources in grasslands are coal, oil, crops, petroleum, and ranching. Rivers in the grasslands are the Platte, Missouri, Canadian, Arkansas, and Saskatchewan rivers.
