  1. What: Research Project for French class! When: Research done in class andduring French class and at home Due: November 4/5 2013 at the beginning of class Le Pierre Tombale et les Masques du mort You must create a tombstone or a death mask (Pierre Timbale) for the famous dead French figure you choose. As a group, you will do your research, find decorative items for the tombstone, design and produce the tombstone. What you need: ►Materials to create the tombstone/death mask (cardboard or poster board…be creative) ►Decorations for the tombstone/death mask that adequately represent the person whom you are researching ►scissors, markers, glue, tape, paper, etc. You must furnish the supplies, but while working in class, you may sign out MY markers, scissors, tape, etc. ►While you will have time to work on this during one class, most of the work for this project will need to be done outside of class.

  2. What is a tombstone or headstone? ● A inscribed or engraved marker for the burial place of a deceased individual What is a death mask? ● A wax or plastic mask made of a person’s face following a person’s death.
