2. Overview of National Hurricane Conference Amateur Radio Presentations • National Hurricane Conference to be held in Orlando. Florida at the Orlando Hilton. Further info available at the following link: • http://www.hurricanemeeting.com/ • Amateur Radio will have another significant presence at the National Hurricane Conference. • The VoIP Hurricane Net will have representation at the conference similar to 2009. Multiple talks will be offered targeting different audiences at the conference. • We will meet with the WX4NHC group and make a trip to Miami, Florida to the National Hurricane Center for Sunday March 28th. • We are working on doing presentations for a local Amateur Radio Club in the Orlando area on Tuesday Evening March 30th. Specifics are TBD.

3. WX4NHC-National Hurricane Center Visit • Members of the VoIP Hurricane Net Management team will visit WX4NHC Coordinators, Julio Ripoll-WD4R and John McHugh-K4AG at the National Hurricane Center as well as their team members. • Network with the WX4NHC Amateur Radio Coordinators and team members. • Review past Atlantic Hurricane Seasons and identify additional ways the VoIP Hurricane Net can assist the WX4NHC operation. • Familiarize other team members in the WX4NHC group with the way the VoIP Hurricane Net can send in reports into the group and for the operators to view reports if the email message method fails. • Discuss any issues with utilizing Echolink at the National Hurricane Center due to network issues

4. Overview of National Hurricane Conference Amateur Radio Presentations • Amateur Radio Workshop on Tuesday March 30th, 2010 from 130-500 PM. Attendees can get into this workshop for free. • Target Audience: Amateur Radio Community • Presentations to be given on: • Overview of WX4NHC Operations • Overview of Hurricane Watch Net Operations • Overview of VoIP Hurricane Net Operations • Overview of IRESC Operations (International Radio Emergency Support Coalition) during hurricanes and other disasters

5. Overview of National Hurricane Conference Amateur Radio Presentations • Workshop session: Amateur Radio: The Emergency Manager’s Hidden Resource Wednesday March 31st from 830-10 AM: • Target Audience: Emergency Management and Amateur Radio Operators. • The above presentation will focus on an emerging and different role for Amateur Radio Operators in assisting emergency managers with situational awareness and disaster intelligence data gathering along with being there ‘when all else fails’. • Amateur Operators interested in these talks would have to pay the conference registration fees to attend. • All workshop sessions given at the conference will be videotaped and put online.
