  1. Health is wealth Good morning to the respected teachers and all my dear friends. Today, on this auspicious occasion I want to speak on the topic ‘health is wealth’. As we all know that good health is really a boon and real jewel of the happy life. Good health is the precious thing a person gets in his/her life. Once a person losses his/her health can never get back through money. It is the theme what this proverb tells us. It is very easy to maintain a good health through disciplined lifestyle, regular exercises, common and healthy food, positive thoughts, personal hygiene, and cleanliness. Healthy people do not need to spend money on medicines and making the round of doctors. However, an unhealthy person needs to spend more money to cure their diseases. A good health is the freedom of sickness and diseases and it is the feeling of physical, mental and social well being of a person. If one maintains a good health, he/she is really blessed with a most precious gift all through the life. Being a well healthy person, it is very necessary to be healthy in every aspect like physically, mentally and socially. A healthy person is only able to enjoy all the pleasures of life. Living a happy life, being rich is not so important however it is very necessary to be healthy. A good health can be achieved by anyone through the continuous efforts. Proper awareness about bad habits is also very necessary to keep body away from the illnesses. To maintain a proper health, we should practice a disciplined life from early morning to the evening. We should get up in the early morning, go for a morning walk or do some exercises, breathe some fresh air, get fresh, maintain proper hygiene and eat food timely. Laughing is also the best medium to keep ourselves happy and healthy. It helps to be happy by overcoming anger and fear and makes one able to enjoy life to the full. Advantages of Being Healthy and Fit A very good morning to everyone. I would like to speak on the topic of health and fitness at the celebration event of this special occasion. Nowadays, people do not take care of their health and do not realize the importance of their good health. As we all know that “Health is Wealth” however people following this regime are very less in number. Good health and fitness are very necessary to carry out all the daily routine tasks. Some people have wrong consideration for being healthy means they understand that they are healthy if they are physically healthy, they never consider the health of their minds. Being healthy means the feeling of well being physicallly, mentally, socially and intellectually. Good health is not only to alleviate physical disorders, it also means being mentally healthy.

  2. An unhealthy mind leads a person towards the unhealthy body and vice versa. It is very necessary to balance the mental and physical health to enjoy the life and nature’s beauty. Good mental health makes a person able to feel well-being with good inner strength. We all should know about how to take care of our bodies. Following timely daily routine, exercise and eating proper healthy foods are best ways to stay healthy and fit. Taking food according to the body requirement, high in protein and vitamin and low in sugar, salt, fat, and alcohol are good for the fitness. People should select and eat right foods according to their body type that may provide required energy to them. Healthy food energizes the body, keeps person happy and provides a happy mind. On the other hand, poor nutrition makes a person weak, sad, angry, tired and worry which are not good for the mind. Healthy foods and daily physical exercises are also necessary to keep hormones in balance. It reduces the depression level by improving the mood and relieving anxiety. We should keep our mind busy in the free times by playing crossword puzzles, calculating sums in the head, learning something new, etc. It is like mental exercise keep mind peaceful and calm. We should take some time from our busy lifestyles and schedules to enjoy the life and nature. We should follow all the best ways ensuring our healthy and long life. Advantages of Being Healthy and Fit There are many advantages of being healthy and fit. Some of are: Being healthy and fit helps in controlling weight. It helps in combating health disorders and seasonal problems. It helps in improving mood and boosts energy level. It promotes better sleep every night without any negative thoughts. It regulates cardiovascular health and metabolic health. Being healthy and fit reduces the risk of cancer. It promotes bone strength and mental health.

As we all know that we are here to celebrate this special occasion, I would like to speak on the topic of health and fitness. In this competitive and crowded world, everyone has forgotten to take care of their health. They start a run in the early morning (to earn money for their family) which only ends in the late night. People do not have a little bit of time for themselves. They only earn money, eat and sleep. They do not know that to keep this body healthy, we need to involve in the daily physical exercises and cleanliness of body. There is a common saying that “health is wealth”. It is very true, it is only our good health which remains with us in our bad times and helps us to face all challenges of the life. Health is the most valuable and precious things for every individual in the life. Good health is the state of complete physical, mental, social and spiritual well being without any suffering. Being a healthy and fit person requires good natural environment, healthy living, healthy food, daily physical exercises, and personal cleanliness. All such things facilitate good health for a long time. On the other hand, an unhealthy environment because of the overpopulation, industrialization, and pollution causes bad health and mental disturbance. Bad health always threatens the life as it brings many dreadful diseases such as heart attack, cancer, hypertension, diabetes, hepatitis, AIDS, kidney failure, liver problems, etc. Nowadays, people are suffering from various mental disorders because they are spending their full time in racing to blindly earn money, to earn fame, win aim of life and achieve big status in the society. Everyone’s life has been hectic because of the huge level competition in each field. Earlier people were used to of enjoying the nature’s beauty and enjoying the different colors of life. But now, people are working in very stressful condition without any satisfaction which is hindering the physical and mental fitness thus people are suffering any diseases. Physical fitness and the healthy diet are very important for getting a healthy and tension free life. People should eat very simple and light food (rich in vitamins, minerals, and proteins) with green leafy vegetables, fruits, and milk. Food rich in fruits and fresh vegetables reduces the risk of cancer, cataract, diabetes, heart attack etc. People should

  4. avoid eating fast foods, oily foods, soft drinks and fatty foods. Everyone should follow good eating and exercise habits such as: Eat breakfast at the time and in the large amount and light dinner 3 hrs before sleeping. We should be a nibbler and not a foodie. We should practice eating fresh salad with the meal. We should not keep ourselves starve for a long time or overeat subsequently. We should avoid fast foods and canned foods. We should eat heart-friendly foods like yellow, orange and green vegetables and fruits. We should reduce the intake of food and exercise more as the age increases. We should go for daily light and heavy physical exercises by keeping in mind the structure of the body. Regular exercises enhance basic metabolic rate which increases absorption of digested food and burns extra body fat by improving vital organs functioning. We should practice yoga and meditation at home on daily basis. We should go for proper sleep at right time and follow early to bed early to rise regime. We should take care that; never sleep with stress, never sleep during the day, always drink warm milk before going to bed. What is health and fitness A warm good morning to the excellencies, my respected teachers, and my dear colleagues. I would like to speak about health and fitness at this special occasion. First of all, I would like to say thanks to my class teacher to give me such a big opportunity to speak at this occasion on the health and fitness. It is the most special topic nowadays in this regularly deteriorating environment. In the real terms, health and fitness are two sides of the same coin means both are very necessary to live a healthy and happy life. Without proper health and fitness, one cannot have a feeling of physical, mental and social well being. It is the common understanding which everyone must follow throughout the life for the wellness of their life and keep body and mind functioning in balance.

The real meaning of the health and fitness involves the efficient and proper working of all the body systems such as heart, nervous system, kidney, liver, digestive system, brain, etc. A person with healthy functioning body organs is called as a healthy and fit person. Being healthy and fit is not so easy in such a crowded and polluted environment. It is a big challenge to the whole human fraternity to maintain fitness together with the technological improvement in the modern world. Whenever the topic of health and fitness is discussed, many more questions arising in our mind that how to be healthy and fit, what habits we should follow to be healthy and fit, etc. The human body has lots of independently working organs however interdependent as well. If any of the organs suffer the problem, it affects other organs too and arises complications. The functioning of any singular bodies coordinates the functions of all together. The human body has many important organs however internal which we cannot see from outside. So, it raises a big question that how we can keep our internal organs safe and proper working in order to maintain our health and fitness. Following proper and timely daily routine with necessary physical exercises and healthy food on daily basis is the way to maintain health and fitness. Healthy food provides our body all the required and essential nutrients, vitamins, proteins, minerals, healthy fat, and carbohydrate. Regular exercises tones up our body muscles, keeps skin fresh, keeps the spine straight and fit, regularize digestive system functioning, improves blood circulation to the whole body, keeps body and mind in balance, etc. Exercise promotes heart functioning and gives it the strength to pump more blood at the faster rate all through the body. Thus, we can say that exercise and proper nutrition regularly help a person to keep all his organs in absolute fitness. Exercise and healthy foods are the way to keep body and mind healthy as well as avoid health hazards and medication. Both are necessary for the people of all ages. Here are some ways which can help us to stay fit and healthy for a long time. Most of the people are much conscious towards their health and fitness, however, on the other hand, most of the people are involved in the sedentary lifestyle and suffering many diseases and overweight. Maintaining good health is not an easy procedure, it is the result of continuous efforts with full commitment. It takes years to get the desired health and fitness, however, once we get, it benefits us a lot. Through regular exercises including cardio, stretching, and weight training, we can maintain our normal weight which saves us from various disorders. It repairs the damaged muscle, strengthens the muscle and bones which gives power to the body. Through physical activities, our major body organs functioning also gets regularized. It gives us mental peace and health with improved memory power and concentration level. We just need to give ourselves small hours from our busy schedule on daily basis to get maintained with lots of benefits. Advantages of good health and fitness We cannot achieve success in our life without health and fitness. It may harm to a big extent if we ignore our physical and mental fitness. In order to get great results in all the areas of our life, we need a healthy and active body as well as a sound mind. There are only a few people having both, physical and mental fitness. This is why because only a few people know the real advantages of good health and fitness. The person who is more fit has more energy and patience to tackle with problems in life. Health and fitness give energy which improves confidence level to complete a task. Good health and fitness give a self- replenishing energy which helps us in achieving the goal with required energy level. Here are some steps we need to adapt to get fit: We need lots of eagerness to get started on the daily basis. There should be the preference for action. We must have the ability to get up early in the morning. We must have the ability to continue our work after a hard day’s work.

Being involved in the daily routine exercises benefits us in many ways: Improves the way of thinking with more vision. Increases memory power, attention and concentration level. Improves mental clarity and speed of thinking. Boosts creativity and energy level. Helps in determining the goal which leads towards success. Promotes positive thinking which attracts positive people. Reduces stress level and promotes better sleep. Reduces irritability and increases the ability to interact with others. Increases opportunities and reduces problems. Helps to win challenges in life without giving up. Health and Fitness 2 Around 30 or above 30, our body starts developing various health problems if we are not involved in any type of physical activity. In such case, we are at the tip of risks who must think about the health and fitness as well as starts following all the tips of getting healthy and fit. Physical exercises and proper nutrition on daily basis gives us health, physical fitness, and mental fitness. In order to maintain a healthy lifestyle, we must involve in the daily routine exercises and fresh healthy food. Being healthy and fit increases our energy level, improves confidence, burns calories, minimizes complications of chronic diseases and increases life term. Our health and fitness are related to the many health benefits such as: Decreases risk of Type-2 diabetes Decreases risk of hypertension and high cholesterol level Improves mental health

Relieves stress Improves better quality sleep Decreases risk of early death Promotes weight loss Increases bone density In order to maintain health and fitness, we must be self-motivated and encouraged. We must use all the moves which can motivate us. There is the necessity of at least 2.5 hours (moderate-intensity) or 1.25 hours (vigorous- intensity) aerobic physical activities in a week. For getting more health benefits, we need to increase our moderate-intensity aerobic physical activity up to 5 hours or vigorous-intensity aerobic physical activity up to 2.5 hours in a week. Physical activity should be the essential part of our life in order to be fit, healthy and young. Health and fitness Both health and fitness are closely inter-related to each other. Both are necessary for the human being to live a happy and healthy life. There are various things we have to take care all through the life in order be healthy and fit. There is no alternative to the health and fitness, we have to eat healthy food timely, do physical exercises daily, think positive and have patience and commitment towards good lifestyle. Being involved in physical activities on daily basis does something great to our body and mind. It makes us feel good, helps us to complete tough tasks, makes us pleasant all around and keeps us happy all time because our body releases a chemical called endorphins while we involved in the physical activities. Regular physical activities also reduce stress, improves sleep, boosts energy level, reduces symptoms of anxiety and depression, increases our self-esteem, makes us feel proud, improves confidence level and personality, etc. Health and fitness are really meant a lot to our life. Students including all the growing age children must know the importance of health and fitness. In order to improve their knowledge about health and fitness as well as improve the skill of English writing, teachers assign them to write paragraphs on health and fitness. Students studying in classes 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 get assigned to write the paragraph on health and fitness by their class teacher. We have provided below some health and fitness paragraphs to help students. They can choose any paragraph according to their need and requirement. Maintaining health and fitness is not a simple task, however; not so tough too. We need to involve ourselves in some daily physical activities together with the healthy, fresh and timely food which can only provide us long-term health and fitness benefits. We burn extra and unnecessary calories to our body through physical exercises. Daily physical exercises keep kids so active and put them on a path of better physical and mental health.

Being involved in the daily physical exercises is a good strategy to defeat obesity. According to the statistics, it is found that around one-third of the U.S. adult citizens are obese and almost 17% of children and adolescents are obese. There are many people suffering from diabetes and other chronic health problems such as heart disease, high blood pressure, cancer, asthma, overweight, etc. We can be fit just by incorporating some physical activities including healthy eating into our daily life for 30 minutes (for adults) and 60 minutes (for children). Regular physical activities help us to get long-term health benefits through. Physical fitness Physical fitness is really very much important in our life. Nowadays, in the modern life, most of the people are moving towards more sedentary lifestyle which is increasing the risk of diseases because of reduced daily activity level, bad cardiovascular fitness, and increased body weight. People, who are involved in the inactive lifestyle, must know the benefits of health and physical fitness so that they can involve themselves in the daily routine physical exercises in order to remain away from diseases and be fit. Being active is very necessary for keeping our body functioning at a high level. Regular physical exercises help in maintaining the performance of lungs, heart and other major body organs. It burns off excess calories and keeps our weight under control. It also improves the muscle and bone strength, increases the joint flexibility as well as improves muscle endurance. Most importantly, daily physical activities decrease the risk of heart diseases, the risk of stroke, diabetes, high blood pressure, colon cancer, etc. Regular exercise increases the overall happiness in our life which keeps us mentally happy and peaceful too. It relieves the symptoms of depression, stress, anxiety, and other mental disorders. We can get something good to our life if we maintain our health and fitness. There are many activities which can keep us fit and happy for a long time such as walking, cycling, swimming, biking, using the gym, community center, and other various sports activities.
