Both PPC and OPC 53 are best in their own ways as they have different advantages.<br>PPC cement is advantageous due to slow conversion of calcium hydroxide in the hydrated cement paste into a cementitious product. It is economical due to the replacement of costly clinker by cheaper pozzolanic material. It generates reduced heat of hydration and that too at the low rate.
