The meaning of vastu, is an Indian science of building and construction which helps to make a good atmosphere or to live and work in a scientific way taking advantage of benefits given by nature. The elements of vastu, and energy fields provide for increased wealth, health, happiness, and success. Also vastu is the science of rules that mix all the elements of nature and balance them with the man and the facts. Vastu Shastra is an asking science of design that describes the effects that a certain space experiences due to the flow of good energy. Vastu means 'abode' or mansion and Shastra or Vidya means science or knowledge, so vastu shastra or vidya is the sacred holistic science pertaining to designing and building of houses. The principles of vastu have been derived from Sthapatya Veda- one of the older sacred books in Hinduism.
