POLICIES ON TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER • Exemption from corporate income tax (CIT) for: • Incomes generated from these technologies for organizations contributing as capital technologies for establishing enterprises or performing business cooperation contracts. • Incomes generated from the application of technologies for four years, provided that the total exempted tax amount does not exceed 50% of total investment in technology renewal for enterprises investing in technology renewal and receiving technologies on the list of technologies encouraged for transfer. • Exemption from Import duty for: • Goods imported for direct use in technology research and development, technology renewal • Goods used for technology replacement or renewal and raw materials, supplies and parts used for production for five years from the commencement of the production with new technologies • Machinery, equipment and special-purpose means of transport which cannot be manufactured nationwide and need to be imported for the performance of technology transfer contracts are not liable to value-added tax.
POLICIES ON TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER • Enterprises received technology transfer can access loan with low interest or interest rate assistance; loan guarantee(via National science & technology development Foundation and National Innovation technology) • Supports to attend training programs, consultation activities, technology transfer promotion event, etc,… • Foreigners and Vietnamese residing overseas who participate in transfer of a technology and their family members shall be issued with a multiple entry/exit visa for a term consistent with the duration for implementation of the technology transfer contract
