Allowances Review: Initial findings • Minimal governance / approvals process around allowances, OT and Out of Hours • No standard time recording system in place • Allowance information / data managed tactically and inconsistently • A proportion of legacy allowances are required to meet customer SLAs. • Next steps: Working Group including Finance, HR, and BTMSL Operational Managers to capture and analyse 3-6 months of accurate data... • All allowance and legacy work streams to be identified. • All hours worked to be captured on a suitable system. • All call out data to be captured; including rota details and number of call outs for each area. • All OT and Callout to be matched to jobs within Work Manager • Where combined annual allowances for call out and OT, detailed cost-benefit analysis needs to be undertaken • ...review at each stage and further engagement with the CWU on the next steps and finalise allowance review
