  3. About Dickinson College • Traditional four year liberal arts college offering Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees • About 2400 students • Converted to Banner 7.x in 2006 • Upgraded to Banner 8.2 in November 2009 • NolijWeb – document imaging software

Student Profile • Comprehensive view of a student’s academic information – real-time • Includes data retrievable by some in Self-Service, but requires accessing several screens • Expands access to users who don’t have Banner-defined role, i.e. advisor • Look up by Banner ID, user name, student name • Can be printed to PDF • Reduces staff training and administrative maintenance

Student Profile Details • Demographic information with photo from ID system • General student and curriculum information • Comments • Honors • Holds • Awards • Current Schedule • Classes taken including transfer courses • Grades – additional access required • Document Addendum – additional access required

Document Addendum • TIFs and PDFs are displayed as PDFs • All other formats are handled by the PC (.doc, email) • Only certain users can see certain documents • General users have no access to documents • Advising Office & Registrar’s Office use NolijWeb to access all student files • Documents are pulled from file share; not directly available from the web

  15. Moving Forward • No current means for advisors to add notes to student’s file • Currently working on a project to access course information files through NolijWeb • Migrate CLIQ application to Adobe Flex environment
