  17. Can I afford it? • We had free lodging and a kitchen in our university apartments. • Tax deductible business expenses • Flight, food, living expenses • Sabbatical salary • 65% of year sabbatical

  18. What are the challenges? • What if you are not proficient in the language? • Most of the educated world speaks English. • Can you leave your comfort zone? • You cannot pack all of your clothes. • What about the dog? • We shipped him to our son in Denver.
