  3. Three unique features of the château Chambord • 1. It was constructed by King François I in part to be near to his mistress the Comtesse de Thoury • 2. Chambord is the largest castle in the Loire Valley • 3. One of the architectural highlights is the spectacular double-helix open staircase

  4. Importance of the Château Chambord • 1.It was built because he wanted to be next to his mistress. • 2. As the castle had been constructed with the purpose of short stays • 1. Chambord, Loir-et-Cher, France is one of the most recognizable châteaux in the world because of its very distinct FrenchRenaissance architecture that blends traditional French medieval forms with classical Italian structures.[1]
